Nobody knew I was looking for one, did you?
Anyway, for years now I’ve tried to find a small yet packed full of features software that would ease my life by substituting that old rag of a Windows Explorer with everything I need: speed, small memory usage and most importantly, stability.
And I’ve finally found it! The fact it took me this long made me write a blog post about it. Q-dir, to put it simply, has everything you might wish for on a Windows machine: folder and tab browsing, simple drag and drop moving and copying of files, twelve (12!) different multiple-windows arrangements to choose from! All that in just a 400 KB installer! RAM usage rarely goes above 5 MB and it just doesn’t crash.
Of course, this program is completely free and regularly maintained. You can go and check out screens or download the program itself right here. Trust me, if you tried other software of this kind and regretted it (like yours truly), this time you won’t be disappointed.

I wish everyone a very Happy New Year and hope you come again soon!
This is really inspiring, I suppose I got a new cause to get involved in… somehow.
Yesterday, all of our international readers got to meet Amnesia’s uncle and his cousin Michael. As the summer vacation begins, Amnesia goes to the countryside and discovers all over again it’s beauty and numerous activities he can join in.
This is the beginning of the third ‘week’ of Kid Amnesia adventures, something I honestly didn’t expect to see, especially not so soon. Together with finding some great authors to do the guest comics for the printed edition (scheduled for spring 2011) and receiving the first guest comic from Filip, this managed to take my thoughts away from all the bad things happening in my life, and towards more creative ventures.
See you in two weeks!
It’s that time again – the second Kid Amnesia in full color! And a little back-story to those.
The idea of Amnesia playing one sport or another was a no-brainer – he just had to have an activity outside of school. And I decided he had to be good at it, even though he will forget he is all the time.
But technically he’s not playing football in these comics. Even though I couldn’t make myself use the word ‘soccer‘, European school children don’t play football in mixed teams, so to speak. And especially in our part of the world, it is often perceived as a “man’s game”. So the girls are often left-out, which I consider a great injustice.
Since Amnesia, technically, lives in the US, I could remedy that easily enough, so that the first girl we meet in the first week of Kid Amnesia adventures, Amanda, comes back to play him in this week’s comic.
For the time being, Amnesia will play football only once every two months in color. But when the time is right, I will make a longer 6-strip story. You can count on that.
This Thursday saw me and Esmir get a publisher‘s award for our work on Kid Amnesia at the 8th Belgrade Comic Book Festival, which is held from 30th September till 3rd October. More information at: http://www.skc.org.rs/comics-festival-2010.html
We’d like to thank the organizers and especially Igor Markovich from System Comics.
